Louisbourg will celebrate an historic event this summer – the 250th anniversary of the second, and final, siege of the Fortress of Louisbourg. The siege of 1758 shaped the history of our nation and will be commemorated through a unique summer-long celebration!

People from all over the world are invited to take part in a jam-packed schedule of events. The celebration will entice those interested in the story of the year 1758, as well as travelers who enjoy an authentic East Coast party!

As part of the activities, Louisbourg will hold an encampment of military and civilian French, British and Aboriginal re-enactors and sutlers. For the first time in North American history, there will be a re-enactment of a night siege. It promises to be an event of a lifetime!
